Hello Roger,
You should log into the router and enable security, if you let me know what the make and model of your router are, then I can assist better.
Generally speaking, you will visit https://192.168.0.1 or something similar in your web browser, then you would need to log into the router (Possibly default credentials) to configure the wireless security.
